Composition VII (1913) by Wassily Kandinsky
If you haven’t stood in front of a Kandinsky and had to refrain yourself from licking the canvas you still have time while there is breath in your body! The Lenbachhaus Kunstbau/Museum in Munich is a good place to start.
Downloaded between 1st and 2nd trip to Germany of 3.

Embrace (1939) by Paul Klee
Backtracking - pictures that I missed - out of chronological order of original download - but who cares, other than my memory. Love this one. Downloaded under the influence of Edvard Munch’s The Kiss/Kyss and Klimt’s Kiss… but this is my favorite.

Cologne Cathedral (1945) by Lee Miller
While in Koln, I climbed up the spires of this Cathedral about 60 years after this picture was taken. When you look up, while down below - do you see the forest canopy above?

Frederic Chopin (1838) by Eugene Delacroix
One of my favorite composers - if not my favorite. His relationship with George Sand also fascinates me. Do writers and musicians mix?

Mata Hari - 1906 postcard
This is the REAL Mata Hari, Margaretha Geertruida “Grietje” Zelle MacLeod, who was executed by firing squad for being a WWI spy… though she probably wasn’t a spy.
This is not Theda Bara playing Mata Hari. This IS Mata Hari. May she be an inspiration to us all: Leave abusive situations. Dance. Live a life of Intrigue. No Regrets.
